Set-Ups for my test shot- Set-Up- At first, I thought it was going to be really difficult to make my own set-up at home that would be similar to the studio in college, but after some research and from my previous work in the labs i made this set-up. I luckily have a reflective glass surface in my room so i knew i wanted to take my image on this to give it more depth. I used lighting that was available to me which was natural lighting from the window as i have shown and a lamp.  Lighting- I stuck a white piece of card to use as the background for the test shot. I used natural lighting and then side lighting from the lamp to add an effect.         Test Shots- These were just a few of my favourite images from the test shots that i took for my product advertisement assignment. Research Piece One- The first piece of research i did was on jewellery specifically rings as in my lab i was told that shooting small rings with detail can be very hard if not done right. After looking at many product shoots i came across this advertisement which is for one of the leading jewellery brands known by us which is, Tiffany & Co. I was struck by this image because of how effortless the image looks. The lighting is good as the whole ring is well lit. This image was taken on a reflective surface which i like because it makes the image have a lot more depth than an image that was taken on a dark flat surface. I also really like the ribbon that flows through the ring as this adds movement to the image. Overall i think it is a good image and some good inspiration to look at when trying to shoot difficult objects such as rings, it's all about lighting and positioning.
